SKINNER NURSERIES HOLDS LANDSCAPE CERTIFICATION WORKSHOP

Orlando, Florida – Skinner Nurseries held a Landscape Certification Workshop at their Orlando distribution center on May 7. In addition to awarding CEU’s (continuing education credits) to eligible landscape professionals, prizes were given out and lunch was included. Other sponsors for the event included Arborbrace, FNGA and Green Industries Institute.

The workshop consisted of four stations – plant identification, tree planting, Florida grades and standards, and plant loading. The fourteen attendees were broken up into groups of three or four and spent approximately thirty minutes on each station while competing for prizes. A grand prize $300 Bass Pro Shop gift certificate was given to the winning participant. The four-hour event which made education fun, concluded with a BBQ lunch provided by Skinner Nurseries.
