SKINNER NURSERIES HIRES NEW GENERAL MANAGER
Bunnell, Florida – Skinner Nurseries has hired Bruce Hammersmith as the new General Manager for their production division based in Bunnell and Crescent City, Florida. After an extensive search Skinner is happy to fill this vital position, which will oversee and provide leadership for their farm operations.
With 18 years experience in the horticultural industry, Bruce is well trained in overseeing such a large multi-faceted operation. In his most recent position, Bruce served as an Ornamental Manager for a major plug and liner operation. Having earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Delaware and a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Florida, Bruce has an extensive knowledge of both the Horticultural Industry and the necessary business acumen to run a thriving company. “Bruce's background in plugs and liners is very transferable to our operation. His attitude, precision and business thinking are qualities that will build upon our foundation of quality and performance,” stated Kevin Van Dyke, Chief Operating Officer of Skinner Nurseries.
