SKINNER NURSERIES ACQUIRES NEW LOCATION IN FT. WORTH
Ft. Worth, TX - Skinner Nurseries, the dominant supplier of green goods in the South, has announced the acquisition of a new landscape distribution center in Ft. Worth, TX. This center – formerly Southwest Color – is conveniently located immediately off the NW 820 loop just west of Lake Worth. The new location officially opened as Skinner Nurseries on November 1 and is fully operational.
Skinner Nurseries has been serving the Dallas-Ft. Worth area since 2000, with locations in the north Dallas suburbs of Lewisville and Carrollton. The new Ft. Worth branch encompasses a full-service 6-acre yard, stocking 4” color and up to 300 gallon container trees.
“Our opening the Ft. Worth branch has given us a phenomenal opportunity to conveniently service the entire DFW Metroplex. The burgeoning growth experienced in the western Metroplex area demanded that we provide our customers with an easily accessible one-stop landscape solution. We listened to our customers, and we look forward to serving them,” stated Lance Martin, Regional Vice President. Bryan Schaid, who brings over 14 years experience in the green industry, will serve as Branch Manager.
Skinner Nurseries, which operates two growing Farms in Central Florida, and now twenty-two strategically located distribution centers across the southern United States, is one of the fastest growing suppliers of green goods in the Sun Belt. This announcement follows closely the recent site acquisitions in Atlanta, GA.
