SKINNER NURSERIES OPENS SECOND ORLANDO LOCATION
Orlando, FL - Skinner Nurseries, the leading supplier of green goods in the South, has announced the acquisition of a new landscape distribution center in Orlando. Formerly West Orange Nursery, Inc., the new center is located in the growing west side of town on Avalon Road (S.R. 545) between East Davenport Road and Sandhill Road in Winter Garden. The new location officially opened for business on September 25.
Skinner Nurseries has been serving the Orlando area since 2000 with a location on the east side. The new Orlando branch encompasses a 5-acre yard, which will stock annual color and up to 8” caliper container trees. The branch will be undergoing minor construction over the next month before it becomes fully stocked and operational.
“The opening of our second location in the Orlando market will enable us to more effectively serve this vastly growing area. Our customers on the west side will now have a convenient fullservice distribution center in their back yards,” said William Ten Eyck, Regional Vice President. Wally Sciberras, who brings over 25 years experience as a landscape contractor and Business owner, will serve as Branch Manager. Wally previously served as the Branch Manager for West Orange Nursery, Inc.
Skinner Nurseries, which operates two growing farms in Central Florida, and currently twentytwo strategically located distribution centers across the southern United States, is one of the fastest growing suppliers of green goods in the Sun Belt.
