SKINNER NURSERIES EXPANDS TO LEWISVILLE, TX
Lewisville, TX – Skinner Nurseries has opened yet another branch in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area to serve the needs of landscape professionals. The Lewisville, Texas branch is the newest location in their fast expanding network of distribution centers, which cover the Southeastern United States. This distribution center is located at 521 Huffines Boulevard. “We are excited about this latest addition to the Skinner family of distribution centers. Lewisville marks another milestone in development for our company which is currently celebrating 30 years of service to landscape construction,” stated Russell Skinner, president of Skinner Nurseries.
Deforrest (De) Judd has been chosen as branch manager of the new location. De brings with him 22 years of management experience in the green industry. The last 2 years of which were spent as area manager, supervising 4 locations for a national landscaping chain. With a depth of experience in the business, De is well suited to handle the demands of running a busy distribution center and ensuring that customer expectations are met.
Valentin Ramirez also joins the team. He has 16 years experience in the Nursery Industry, 14 of which were devoted specifically to sales. With skills ranging from personally selecting materials for customers to managing all aspects of large wholesale accounts, Valentin is well suited to building and maintaining accounts for the new center. Because Valentin is bilingual, he is also able to easily interact with a vast array of customers. A graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Plant and Soil Science, Valentine promises to be a valuable resource for clients.
Teresa Wonka, currently working out of the Skinner Nurseries’ Dallas location, has also been hired to supplement the Skinner staff. She brings with her 20 years experience in the green industry. Having worked in the farming end of the business, Teresa is familiar with the growing process. As an experienced salesperson, landscaper and designer, Teresa can help foresee customer needs and ensure a smooth sales process. She has also earned her Texas Master Certified Nursery Professional certificate.
Rounding out the team is Crystal Storm who brings with her 5 years experience in the industry. Having attended Richland College in Dallas, Crystal has studied HortScience and trees. Working on her certification as a Texas Certified Nursery Professional, Crystal is committed to using her knowledge and sales experience to assist customers and help solve their problems.
Skinner Nurseries provides a wide range of material from annual color, shrubs, large trees, and palms to a full line of hardlines, including mulch and soil. With the ability to easily locate material from an extensive network of sources, Skinner is able to fulfill customer needs in one stop, saving clients valuable time and eliminating their need for holding yards.
