SKINNER NURSERIES OPENS NEW LOCATION IN NORTHEAST DALLAS

Jacksonville, FL - Skinner Nurseries, the leading supplier of green goods in the South, has opened a new branch in Garland, TX, located on Holford Road just west of the George Bush Tollway.  The new location brings Skinner Nurseries total branch count to four serving the DFW market, with branches also in Carrollton, Lewisville and Ft. Worth.

The 9.25 acre site carries a full line of B&B and container trees, shrubs, groundcovers, vines, annuals, perennials, and specialty plants. The branch will also carry hard goods, including stone, tools, edging, bagged soils and mulches, as well as other landscape supplies.

“Customers are going to be impressed when they see this nursery. We have the space to stock tons of material and it’s designed to get contractors in and out in a hurry. There’s nothing like it on our side of the DFW Metroplex.  We will own the word ‘service’ amongst landscape professionals in the area,” said Todd Davis, Branch Manager.

Davis’ background includes being writer and editor of Nursery Management & Production (NMPro) magazine for 13 years prior to joining Skinner Nurseries.  He is also a Texas Certified Nursery Professional and has past experience working for multiple landscape firms.  Todd has been working in the Lewisville location since mid-2007 in preparation for his management of the new Garland branch.
