SKINNER NURSERIES SURVIVES HURRICANE CHARLEY
Orlando, Florida – Skinner Nurseries’ Orlando distribution center announced today that they were back open for business after incurring severe damage from Hurricane Charley. With hard work all weekend to repair property and building damage, the center was open for business at 9:00 AM on Monday morning. “We have a group of people that sacrifice and are committed to preserving our Company. The team work of the staff at both our farms and Orlando center has been very impressive over the last 48 hours and will be long remembered as an example of the character of our people,” remarked Kevin Van Dyke, Chief Operating Office of Skinner Nurseries. “Members of the Orlando staff went above and beyond the call of duty to help protect the center before / during / and after the hurricane. They worked late to prepare for it, checked the nursery all hours of the night trying to help keep the place from flooding and were ready to cleanup the damages first thing the next morning. A special thanks to our staff,” stated Charles Felgar, branch manager for the Orlando distribution center.
